We are going all out to win this election in Ross, Skye and Lochaber in order that all our constituents are served by a hard working MP.
The SNP, under the leadership of Nicola Sturgeon, has a clear vision of bringing an end to a failed austerity programme of the Liberal/Tory coalition, one that Labour wishes to continue.
The LibDems will pay the price for backing Tory cuts in government, and electing a strong body of SNP MPs is the only way of ensuring true home rule is delivered to Scotland.
We are saying to the people of Ross, Skye and Lochaber, the Scottish Parliament needs powers for a purpose, that powers over tax and welfare are essential.
The current proposals from the Westminster Parties see 70% of taxation powers and 85% of welfare powers remaining with Westminster. This falls well short of what is understood to be ‘home rule’.
As an SNP MP, I will stand up for this constituency and I will stand up for Scotland. I will be a hard working MP, working for the voters throughout this constituency.
We need to make the Highlands and Islands a place where our people can compete. We need to create the circumstances to allow young people to stay here and prosper and families to see a future for themselves.
Electing me as your MP will ensure we hold Westminster to account and the delivery of what was promised to us with the vow - home rule for Scotland.
I look forward to the campaign, a campaign we are fighting hard to win. It is time for a change in Ross, Skye and Lochaber.
